"What's the point of Snoddy going to Norwich if they are going to be relegated?"
Thu 19th Jul 2012 20:01

Dominic Matteo turns pundit and predicts Canaries will fall off their Premiership perch next season!

Former Leeds skipper Dominic Matteo has told Robert Smodgrass to forget about joining Norwich, because he thinks they will struggle without Paul Lambert.

Norwich want Snodgrass to join the ex whites ranks at Carrow Road and new boss Chris Hughton has had a derisory bid of £1.5m turned down this week.

Whether Norwich will come back with more money and whether Snodgrass will force through a move to East Anglia remains to be seen, but former Scottish international Matteo has told one of his nations rising stars he needs to be in the Premiership for more than one season!

Surely Matteo has risked being carted off to Thetford town centre, placed in stocks and pelted with Delia Smith's dumplings for daring to insult the country-bumpkin carrot crunchers, who are loved by everyone outside of Ipswich?

Or worse still, he could be locked in a dark room and forced to watch every back episode of QI starring Norwich's celebrity fan Stephen Fry?
