Snoddy in Devon and in Heaven!
Mon 23rd Jul 2012 21:53

Norwich "target" plays 68 minutes of United's 6-0 romp!

You have to feel sorry for those country bumpkins in the east.

Norwich were convinced they had got the boy Snodgrass on Friday night, when he pulled out of the visit to Farsley Celtic with that old fail-safe the tweaked hamstring.

The reality was, of course, it was a case of "Come on let's be avin yer Robert!" following former comerades Howson and Johnson down to Norwich to sign for the Canaries. Snodgrass strategically withdrawn so a deal could be completed.

Even on twitter, RobbieRogers.com posed for a snap with another Scottish want away Ross McCormack on the team coach and a follower cheekily asked "Is Snoddy on the bus?"

Snodgrass was indeed and made it to Devon, still a Leeds player as Leeds eased past Tavistock Town 6-0, Snoddy playing 68 minutes before making way forZac Thompson scorer of United's sixth.

Also on target for Leeds was Aiden White, Paul Green, Robbie Rogers, Dominic Poleon and an unfortunate Tavistock defender.

So let's raise a glass or two of the local scrumpy and sing "Snoddy Snoddy Snoddy! Oi Oi Oi!" sorry Norwich, he's still one of us!

If only you'd waited another couple of days you would have looked such a knob
so having left Devon (Devon? Seriously?) early I think we can confidently say
"Sorry knob, he's now one of us"

Seriously I do sympathise. We've had our best players "Heads turned..." for as long as I can remember and it will always be thus. Why you got rid of SG I don't know, you need to get KB out asap. I know you take the piss out of clubs like Nodge cos we dont have a history of egotistic maniacs, but thats because they do vet players and investors alike. They make mistakes but only when judged with hindsight. Leeds seem to take high risks and make insane appointments. I was hoping Lee Clark would get a crack at your club, he did well at Nodge and did an amazing job at Hudd Town. But no, Bates and Warnock. Bates and ******* Warnock. I wouldn't want either one within 100 miles of Carrow Road never mind both. I wish you luck, for the foreseeable future you're going to need it.

He's in heaven now. I earmarked this post because I felt the blind optimism and the actualite were poles apart and couldn't resist coming back to poke a little fun. However, the previous poster has stolen most of my thunder.

I thought Warnock was always going to be a disastrous appointment. He has no tactical nous as was clearly evident when the plonker played us home and away last season. Yes, he's a motivator, but that ain't enough these days. I predict Leeds will do an Ipswich after they first appointed Keane and then the subsequent managerial disaster. The quality of club ownership is another common factor.

Leeds should be in the Premiership. No doubt, but that place has to be earned and I'm afraid the gulf looks even wider this year than last year. After promotion from League 1 with us, when you looked a dead cert to follow us up to the Premiership, it is clear our two clubs are going in opposite directions and with our two managers in place I can only see that trend continuing. Snoddy is no mug.
