Loan latest Tuesday, 1st Jan 2013 18:07 Neil Warnock has confirmed Alan Tate will stay with Leeds until the end of January and he hopes to tie up a couple more loan signings before Saturday's FA Cup clash with Championship rivals Birmingham City. Tate, 30, had been linked with a loan until the end of the season or even a permanent transfer however the stay until the end of January appears to suit Warnock who told Yorkshire Radio following the 1-0 win over Bolton that it will provide "some breathing space" for both parties, presumably to see if a longer deal can be agreed. Michael Tonge has also been linked with a return from Stoke and according to Warnock, Chief Executive Shaun Harvey has been "working his socks off". It is widely expected that Warnock's former Sheffield United charge should return before Saturday. Warnock pointed out that completing paperwork had been impossible as no-one has been in the Football League offices due to the holidays, which seems a but daft given the ridiculous structure of the transfer-window which means everything goes crazy on January 1st. Jerome Thomas's future however seems much less certain, the West Brom winger missed the Bolton win due to illness and us set to return to the West Midland's tomorrow.
