I'm just mad about Saffron Wednesday, 29th Jul 2015 15:19 It's "Mellow Yellow" for the whites' on their travels as our traditional away-colours come back after a five-year absence. We've flirted with various shades of blue, black and even beige, but now yellow will be the thing to be seen in as Leeds hit the road. The club today released details of our new away-kit which is on sale online now and available in the club-shop from Friday and although it looks identical to the home-shirt design and trim wise, for many the fact it is yellow will be the ultimate selling point. Yellow has always been the traditional change colours for the whites', but we last turned out in yellow way back in 2009/10. That design by Macron also had a significant amount of blue in it. Kappa are now on board and it's a full-on, almost pure yellow design (save the blue neck and collar trim). Leeds are also expected to take the unusual step of wearing their change colours at home to Everton in Saturday's showpiece friendly. As per the home-kit, because of the ongoing contractual row with our previous supplier and sponsors the traditionalists amongst us will have the bonus of having no sponsorship emblazoned on the front or tacked on to the back of the shirt. Leeds fans are one of the most brand-loyal bunch of supporters in the country and I expect this one will be popular and demand will be huge, despite our years in the wilderness I'd imagine it to be amongst the top-selling shirts in the Championship and will also put to shame many Premiership clubs also.
