The lights go out on Dallas!

Signing of Northern Ireland international delayed due to power-cut!

Leeds £1.3m signing of Stuart Dallas from Brentford has been delayed due to a power-cut at the Londoners antiquated stadium.

Dallas, 24, had a medical at Thorp Arch yesterday but the deal couldn't go through because the main power line into Griffin Park was down. The deal however is expected to go through today.

Dallas fits the bill for the kind of player we've been crying out. A left-footed winger who can weigh in with goals, albeit with just one season in the Championship.

This will take Uwe Rosler's summer recruitment drive up to seven players and this is likely to be his last permanent-signing with him expected to strengthen further using the loan market.

However owner Massimo Cellino is a self-confessed hater of the loan-system, unless there is a buy-out clause at the end of the season. Tom Adeyemi has arrived from Cardiff City under such a deal.

Meanwhile it isn't often Leeds fans back Sheffield Wednesday but angry whites' fans have taken to Twitter to support a campaign to get former favourite Rudy Austin another work-permit in this country after his hopes of joining the Owls were dashed due to red-tape.

Despite Austin being a fully-fledged Jamaica international he has effectively been told to leave the UK and is believed to be considering offers from his old club in Norway Brann Bergen, Turkey and the USA.

Former team-mates of Austin have also publically backed his unfortunate plight, including striker Matt Smith.
