Il Duce "Massolini" crushes fans Ad uprising! Friday, 12th Feb 2016 13:02 Our President scored a significant victory over a mischievous advert which appeared on Lowfields Road yesterday citing harassment. Mr Cellino's legal eagles swooped after 70 fans clubbed together to pay for an advert highlighting the many alleged broken promises Cellino has made in his two-years at the helm. Initially, the advertising firm refused to remove the ad according to the Yorkshire Post. The old fail safe "freedom of speech" was cited and no doubt the purchasers of the ad would strongly argue much of the content was basically quotes from Cellino himself. However his lawyers claimed it amounted to "harassment" of their client, pointing out it had effectively been placed at the entrance of his workplace and went as far to say it was "intended to cause maximum distress" and was "malicious". Workmen arrived on Friday morning to take away the ad. It is the second-blow to the Anti-Cellino dissenters inside a week. A planned fly-past of Elland Rd with a "Cellino Out" banner failed to take place last Saturday following rumours that it was cancelled due to the poor weather. It is understood that there will be thousands of leaflets handed out on Monday night for the visit of promotion-chasers Middlesbrough calling for Cellino to sell-up. However in another bizarre incident, the under-siege Leeds supremo appeared to AGREE with fans calling for him to quit! BBC Radio Leeds Adam Pope reportedly texted the Italian, who is believed to be in his homeland for his views on the rogue-poster and got the response "I agree" back. Maybe it was Massimo's idea of a "joke"? after all he claimed earlier this week that a quote in a Sardinian newspaper claiming he'd punished the fans in the South Stand with the notorious "pie tax" in revenge for them chanting derogatory songs about him was just a joke. The whole business is very tiring and given the dirge served-up on the park thus season, many including myself must be questioning whether or not to renew our season-tickets for 2016/17 should the Italian remain at Elland Road.
