Man City are being linked with a summer move for Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez.

City are looking for a partner for Vincent Kompany and its believed that the talented 22 year old is high on City's list of summer targets. The Spanish international is hot property and is also being watched by City's rivals Manchester United as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona, although Barca have just had been given a 14-month transfer ban by Fifa for breaking rules on signing international players under 18.

City have found it difficult to find a partner for Kompany with Demichelis, Nastasic and Lescott all partnering Kompany in the heart of the City defence, with Lescott set to leave this summer.
