"We Are Playing To Win" Says Pellegrini Monday, 7th Apr 2014 09:35 A draw will do for City at Anfield but despite this Manuel Pellegrini is adamant that City will try to win. While it could be tempting to play it safe and aim to stifle the Reds in order to pick up a point, Pellegrini is refusing to curb his side's attacking instincts. "Maybe I am wrong but I always think in the same (way) as a manager - if you play to draw, you will lose," he said. "So we are going to play to win. Of course, after the game, if we couldn't win the game and we draw it's a good result, but we are not going to play against Liverpool thinking we must draw. "We don't know to play in that way." Pellegrini believes "the best way to win games is to score goals", but he is confident his team can hold their own against Luis Suarez after tightening up at the back and conceding only two goals in their last seven league games.
