Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata has today agreed a new two year deal with the club.

Boyata made six appearances for City this season, but only one of those appearances was in the Premier League which was the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace back in December. The 23 year old has been with city since 2007 after signing from FC Brussels, he has been out on loan at Bolton wanderers and FC Twente.

The Belgian’s current contract was up this summer, he has been with Man City for seven years and can therefore be registered as a homegrown player in the Premier League and Champions League.
