Reports are beginning to emerge that City have completed the signing of Porto midfielder Fernando for a fee between £12-16million. The 26 year old Brazilian midfielder will be competition in the middle for Toure and fellow Brazilian Fernandinho.

City initially tried to sign Fernando back in January in a deal to include defender Eliaquim Mangala but after failing to agree terms it is reported that City have come back this summer to conclude a straight deal for Fernando.

It is reported that the midfielder will fly into Manchester in the next few days to put pen to paper.
