City are expected to announce the signing of of 21-year-old Argentinian midfielder Bruno Zuculini later today. It has also been reported that he will not be expected to challenge for a first team place just yet.

In fact the Argentina Under-20 international is already being lined up for a season’s loan to a Spanish club, with Villarreal and Deportivo La Coruna heading the queue. Zuculini has alrady played 100 games in the Argentine Primera Division since making his debut for Racing Club when he was 16.

City made a pre-contract agreement with the player and his club six months ago, for a fee of £1.5m.

City seem to be looking to the future this week as they brought in two of Holland’s top teenagers, with Ajax winger Javairo Dilrosun and Feyenoord midfielder Rodney Kongolo both signing.
