Not In My Lifetime Fans Interview: Anne Parker
Saturday, 12th Jul 2014 10:45

Today we welcome Anne Parker to our Not In My Lifetime fan's interview.

1) When did you become a City fan and why?

My Dad started supporting City in the 1960's and I caught the bug in 1976. We don't come from Manchester in fact I live 164 miles away from the Etihad and my first game wasn't until 1999. But by 2002 I had a season ticket and travel up to every home game. My Dad never went to see City live but he was a avid fan still. We lost him last November and I am grateful he saw us win the league in 2012 and saw the great team we have now. I knew he would be up in the Kippax in the sky watching us win it again this season and I'm sure he pushed Stevie G!

2) What is your favourite City moment of all time/most treasured memory?

My most treasured memory is watching little old City play at Camp Nou in a Champions League game. My favourite moment is not May 2012 it's when we won the FA Cup in 2011 as I knew from that day we would go on to do great things.

3) If you could bring back a former City player into this team who would it be and why?

I would have loved to see Ali in the current team, he was pure class.

4) Manuel Pellegrini, Your opinion please?

This charming man is just that he has improved so many of our players this season, Nasri, Kolarov and Dzeko. He is just what we needed to settle things down. I hope he stays for a few years.

5) Best and worst moments of last season?

Losing to Wigan in the FA Cup was the worse memory. Of course winning the league was the best I still can't believe we have won it twice in 2 years!

6) Transfers have already been made, but anyone else you would like to come in?

Don't have anyone in mind just a good centre back.

7) Any players you would happily drive to his new club?

I am a pretty positive supporter and usually stick up for players but I'm afraid Yaya has disappointed greatly I really thought he loved the club but he has just acted like a spoilt child and his silence speaks volumes.

8) Favourite current player?

Pablo he is everything a professional player should be.

9) Any players that have been let go this summer that you would have liked to stay?

Gareth Barry but only because I fancy him :)

10) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?

Joe Corrigan is my hero from my younger years and still is one of my favourite players. Tony Book, Mike Summerbee, Andy Morrison, Paul Lake, Vincent Kompany and of course Pablo. There are too many to mention in the current team we are privileged to watch this team every week.

11) And finally, What are your expectations for the new season?

I think we will retain the league and get to a Wembley Semi, also think we will get the quarters or semis of the CL.
