City Beat Kansas Thursday, 24th Jul 2014 09:48 City eased to victory in the first game of their U.S. tour with a emphatic 1-4 win over MLS champions Sporting Kansas City. Bruno Zuculini put City ahead early on but Kansas came back strong with CJ Sapong hitting the crossbar before Dom Dwyer had a goal ruled out for offside. CJ Sapong then equalised on the half-hour mark, but a goal from Dedryck Boyata just before the break put City back in front. City replaced Gael Clichy with Micah Richards at the break, while the hosts fielded an entire new XI for the second period. Scott Sinclair was then fouled by Michael Kafari in the penalty area and Kolarov converted the spot kick to make it 1-3. Nigerian striker Kelechi Icheanacho, who has been training with City for the past few weeks, claimed thefourth in the dying minutes of the match.
