Not Fair To Criticize YaYa

Pellegrini has defended Toure against the criticism he as come up against about his recent form. He has struggled since returning from World Cup duty and was heavily criticized for his performance against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week.

He said to the Daily Mirror; "I don't think it's fair for people to just criticise what Yaya did in the last game.

"I think in this team and this system it's my way of thinking.

"Normally when we win or we lose it's because the team has all done well or badly.

"Everyone knows what the best performances of the players are, and we are trying to reach that level.

"But I don't agree that Yaya should have all the responsibility for the game played [in Munich].

"Yaya always chased commitment with the team, with the squad, with his mates so he doesn't have any problem with that."
