"I Have The Ability" Mangala

Mangala has had a delayed pre season which means he has yet to play his part for City. The£32 million defender has been speaking to MCFC official match day programme about his playing style ahead of his debut for the club.

"I am quite a fast defender.

"I am good in challenges and good in the air. I have the ability to score goals and have done so in the past few seasons. I don't score 10 goals per season, but for a defender I get my share from set-pieces.

"I think that can sometimes be a plus during certain games that are more difficult. Set pieces are really important, especially in tight games with few chances.

"When I am on the pitch, I always give everything from the first to the last minute."
