City Fan's Miss Out On Trip To Moscow
Friday, 3rd Oct 2014 18:44

City are to play their Champions League group match at CSKA Moscow behind closed doors. The Russian club were punished for the bad behaviour of some of their fans in Italy a fortnight ago. A number of incidents occurred during CSKA’s opening Group E match at Roma, which the Russian side lost 5-1, last month. Flares were thrown on to the pitch, scuffles broke out in the stands and a banner containing a racial slur was also unfurled.

CSKA have been fined and ordered to play their next three home matches behind closed doors by UEFA, and they have also been banned from selling tickets to fans for the return match at the Etihad Stadium on 5th November.
