City Look To Maintain Winning Ways
Friday, 19th Dec 2014 22:07

City look to maintain their winning streak in this saturday's lunchtime kick off against a struggling Crystal Palace. A convincing win could see City leapfrog Premier League leaders Chelsea in to top spot. City have a run of five straight League victories while Palace have won just one of their last 10 Premier League games.

Team News

City are without a first choice striker for this game so 18 year old Pozo will start. Vincent Kompany is also still missing from a hamstring problem.

Crystal Palace will be without striker Marouane Chamakh, who is missing with a hamstring injury, and midfielder Joe Ledley (hip). Defender Adrian Mariappa is fit following a knee injury but may not be ready to start.

Stats

City have scored in 13 successive Premier League matches; the longest such run in the competition this season.

Mile Jedinak has made more interceptions (60) than any other PL player this season, while only Nathaniel Clyne (70) has made more tackles than the Australian (60).

Man City’s substitutes have had a hand in 11 goals this season in the Premier League (five goals, six assists) — more than any other club.

City have conceded just 18 goals in 26 Premier League home games under Manuel Pellegrini (0.69 per game).
