City Still Struggling Upfront
Thursday, 25th Dec 2014 22:54

With Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic all still missing Pellegrini will have to juggle his options upfrony once again for the boxing day fixture with West Brom. City though go into this fixture with eight straight wins behind them. The Baggies have enjoyed an upturn in their performances as well, although they will be bitterly disappointed to have slumped to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers last time out.

Team News

Midfielders James Milner and David Silva could again play in the advanced central roles that proved successful against Crystal Palace last weekend or teenage forward Jose Angel Pozo might get another chance. Captain Vincent Kompany (hamstring/calf) is also still sidelined but fellow defender Gael Clichy has recovered from a minor knock.

West Brom captain Chris Brunt is in line for a return to the side. Victor Anichebe (groin) is still not training but fellow forward Georgios Samaras is back after going home to Greece due to a family matter. Graham Dorrans (calf) and Boaz Myhill (illness) missed training on Tuesday but are expected to be available.

Stats

Pablo Zabaleta has provided nine Premier League assists since the start of last season.
