City boss Manuel Pellegrini has won the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for December. The Citizens took 16 points from a possible 18 as the 61-year old masterminded wins over Sunderland, Everton, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and West Brom.

A spirited Burnley side were the only side to stop City from getting all three but City have certainly ramped up the pressure on Chelsea.

City scored 14 goals in the Premier League over the course of their six games, conceding just four and considering the injuries to key players that is quite a feat.
