City Need A Win
Friday, 6th Feb 2015 13:09

Manchester City take on Steve Bruce's struggling Hull City side on saturday at the Etihad Stadium and we need a win to keep up the pressure on Chelsea. Manuel Pellegrini's men go in to the game on the back of a tough run of fixtures that saw them welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium inbetween the difficult trips to Everton and Chelsea. A draw at Chelsea leave City still five points adrift of the leaders while Hull are two points off the foot of the table.

Team News
City have a full squad as Mangala and Nasri are both fit and avaialble.

Hull's injury problems have lessened recently with them able to field their two strikers Jelavic and Hernandez against Newcastle last week. Dame N'Doye who Hull signed from Lokomotiv Moscow is still in Paris trying to resolve visa issues so is unlikely to feature.Nikica Jelavic faces a late fitness test while the only lonnger tern injury is Mohamed Diame who is still a few weeks away from a return.

Stats

Edin Dzeko has scored the most goals in the fixture, netting 3 times against the away side.

We have to go back to February 2010 for the last time Hull City beat Man City. Hull won 1-0 at the KC stadium that day.

In the history of the fixture Hull City have never recorded a victory over Man City in Manchester in 9 attempts.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have conceded exactly two goals in each of their last three Premier League matches at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City have gone 80 home matches since they failed to score in back to back home games, failing to net on only three occasions in that run.
