I must admit I wasn't going to make the trip to the Manor this afternoon after the dismissal of Jonah from the club, but a despairing call from from Northants Jack "Dave Williams" at 1:15pm saw us make the 120 mile mad dash to the game only to arrive 40 mins into the game after I let the Mrs navigate! DOH!

I can't comment on the first half for obvious reasons but the general concencus was that Oxford were poor and we were poorer!

The Swans were unlucky not to take the lead in the opening moments after some great work by Savarese gave Roberts a chance but his shot hit the bar.

Oxford also nearly took the lead when Ominyimi forced a great save from Roger. Ominyimi did however put Oxford in front after 11 mins when a great run by Oxford debutant Robertson sent him through one on one with Roger. His shot came the post which kindly fell into Ominyimi to score.

The Swans did however equalise soon after when Price scored a nice goal on the volley from 10 yds out.

We arrived soon after only to find the story that a MAGS "Hollins Out" poster drapped on the fence was torn down by the sad BNP rent a mob Only for them to disapper moments later! Goes to show that they're not here for the football if they still want Hollins!

At HT we met up with a few Message Board regulars contemplating life in Div 3 again and the loss of Steve Jones.

The 2nd half was pure comedy, with Oxford being the dominant side and making a mockery of our beligered defence. The final scoreline could have been a hell of a lot worse but for a very sympathetic linesman who seemed to give us all the 50/50 offside decisions when Ominyimi was put through countless times.

Oxford regained the lead 15 mins into the 2nd half when a mazy run into the box by Scott was halted when De-Vulgt and Jenkins sandwiched him, a definite penalty but as Bound watched the referee for his reaction the ball went passed him for Brooks to have an easy tap in from 2 yards out.

2 mins later the comedy was complete when a corner from Swans old boy Beauchamp was firmly headed in from 5 yds bu Murphy. Again who was marking him BOUND!

Bound in the space of one season has turned from Defensive Dynamo to complete liabilty, so much so that the abuse being hurled at him from the visiting support was starting to have an effect on his confidence. We even started singing "We are the Bound appreciation society" to the tune from The Italian Job for Irony!

For an encore to the comedy a cracking cross from Stu Roberts sent Jenkins at the far post unmarked with only the keeper to beat. But instead of heading the ball he chested the ball into the unbelieveing hands of Oxfords keeper!

Best moment of the 2nd Half was when the local support turned their hate from their own manager to singing "We want Hollins Out", which brought a round of applause from the 300-400 Swans supporters who made the journey.

At the end the whole team bar Roberts, Mumford & De-Vulgt walked off the pitch without a hint of support for the travelling support. Roberts even whipped his shirt off to throw it into the fans, maybe because it will be his last time in the red kit before he moves on for better pastures?

As we travel back on the M4 I'm left to contemplate on what a disasterous season this has been. A club in complete turmoil again forced by the underhand dealings of the owners, if the Swans were a proper company the staff turnover would make McDonalds look a great company to work for!

The campaign for a demonstration against Cambridge back at the Vetch Field Drive-thru has to be done just to let them know what contempt there is for their dealings!
