Humble in Victory? Seemingly Not In Swansea
Sun 10th Apr 2011 09:43

Reports suggest that stones were thrown at coached carrying Norwich City supporters as they were leaving the Liberty Stadium. Move over, Wolves, the Swans are as capable of being moronic.

Fist, let's clear up one thing, the majority of Swansea supporters condusted themselves well as they enjoyed the recent victory over promotion rivals. Sadly, however, reputations are built on the behaviour of a few.

Hopefully, this incident, or incidents, will be investigated and the guilty parties identified and suitably punished. Such crass behaviour will make it more difficult for clubs to hire transport to convey their supporters to away games. Which, of course, tends to point an accusing finger at a group of supporters who never travel; or even don't even support the team.

Why, the FA could rule a points deduction as a punishment for Swansea not controlling their supporters. Undoing the work that the players put in.

The ones probably involved usually only turn up for the BIG games they make me ashamed and I can assure you having followed the Swans for at least 50 years I would pack it in now if I thought for a moment that our real supporters behaved like that.
Your travelling fans were brilliant BTW a credit to a club that tries to play the game the right way (not many in this league).

Would be nice if at least two footballing sides went up, see you in the summer on the fabulous Broads.

Thanks, thiswan. Sadly, as each team edges closer to the Premier League, more and more questionable supporters find their way among the true family of followers.

I didn't dare include this in the article, as I must make certain that I do not besmirch the FansNetwork by adding a personal view.

Cardiff City played away at Doncaster , didn't they? It might be interesting to follow up and addresses of casual ticket purchasers to see how many drove over the mountain.

Enjoy your holiday here. I did for many years, so I moved here.
