BLOG: Pompey's final showdown sees everyone get their retaliation in early...
Thu 26th Jul 2012 11:28 by dodgycurry's blog

It’s all been kicking off since my blog four days ago. August 10th 2012 will be the last time the doors of Fratton Park will remain open in 114 years. Actually, seeing as it’s a Friday, the doors will be shut as usual but it’s my dramatic emphasis poetical licence moment in this little narrative.

As everyone knows Trevor Birch, our well-paid silver haired Yoda clone from admin crew PKF, announced to the waiting world this week the date, the final countdown if you will, of Pompey’s liquidation if the remaining senior players do not compromise on what they are owed.

Tal Ben “If I was a richer man” Haim has become to many fans the most hated greedy selfish bastard since the last bank chief awarded himself a bonus while “Club Killer” Kanu has closely followed him in the unpopularity stakes with the prolific ginger-haired striker Dave” A goal every 12 games” Kitson back in a gallant third place, though to be fair it is hard to tell if he is more unpopular amongst some Pompey fans now than he was before this present situation arose.

Ben Haim leapt (OK, meandered then) to his own defence on Sky, mumbling beneath his science-defying monobrow that he was owed £2.5m in backpay cash and that if he was being asked to drop some dough then Birch should too, seeing as he paid the same money.

As Ben Haim is on £55k a week including image rights that would mean Birch, on his £315 a hour, would have to put in a 174 hour week to match him, an amazing feat considering there are 168 hours in a week. Obviously Ben Haim went on the same accountancy course as ex-club CEO Peter “If it’s raining on a matchday I get a bonus” Storrie. To read the dodgycurry's full blog click here.
