At least NJ believes in his crap decisions. It looks like 5 at the back including Lyanco with AMN replacing KWP to weaken it a bit more.

I can’t imagine why anyone would put Lyanco at right back against Zaha and leave KWP on the bench it’s mental especially for a manager under pressure

didn't Lyanco get rinsed agains palace the other week?
Did Nathan not know this?
Is he that dumb?

yet another shocking display of the longball game up to the two stumps who couldn't hold a conversation yet alone a football. KWP & SA on the bench wtf is going on, this welsh t**t has got to go and soon. Lucky goal from JWP who again spends most of his time going sideways or backwards.

See what the second half brings. COYR

does that count as a direct free kick, gotta say him overtaking Beckhams record might be the best title we can hope for

Agree. There are usually 2 names on the score sheet, just not Saints players !

Just hoping we can end game with 11. Picking up a few cards now.

They don't appear to be playing long balls so much this half.

I think Jones got the message from fans every time our players hoofed it,

it's a flat back 5 now since KWP came on. We are still giving Zaha too much space.

I'll settle for that. If NJ can make that happen every week, we'll let him live.

agreed, if we can only start moving the ball quicker like we did in the second half and as you say stop hoofing it we may have a chance. 2-1 win to the Saints, i will take that all day, it may be the start of something. COYR

A win at last with two flukey goals, we need to see well worked goals in open play so I still see NJ going soon.

At last a win, but we get no points for it.
But I'd happily swap this win for one in the lge.

Great result and big effort today.

Still not sure Jones has tactics right, He continues with the back 5, which leaves big gaps.
Jones looked a bit shocked (not sure why) when fans vented their frustration at his tactics.

In the first half we played loads of long diagonal balls. Even Baznu was hoofing long with no end result.

We still only had 2 (real) attempts on target. One from a freak free kick that everybody left and went in and the other when Armstrong robbed their keeper. There were chances and some good breakaway, but the end result was still poor.

Had their shot that hit the bar gone in, at 2-0, I doubt we would have come back from that.

All said, a good result and will do their confidence the world of good.

A win is always good, three PL points would have made it even better.

I can only think that Jones had divine intervention to achieve this result. A flukey free kick from JWP and a gift from the goalie. Otherwise rubbish again. Sport Republic and Jones have an unpleasant mixture of arrogance and ignorance. For JWP's sake he needs to more to a football team not the glorified pub team that we've become in recent weeks.

Don't want to put a damper on things & I'm always thankful for a win, however we get it, but let's be honest. It wasn't down to a great performance or a Jones masterplan. It was due to two howlers by their keeper that we're unlikely to see again this season.

What it probably has done is buy Jones more time that I don't think he merits. Come the end of the season we may well look back on this result as one of the events that cemented our relegation.

Poll: Where do you hope to see Salisu start (OK, I know we haven't seen him yet)?
