Isn't it amazing what a couple of good results and some cheap tickets will do? Suddenly everyone wants a bit of Pompey - and this weekend's clash with Cheltenham could be a sell-out.

The Blues released tickets in the Milton End on Friday with the other three stands virtually effectively full, with only single seats available, the club website reported.

Adults, seniors (60+) and young persons (17-22) can buy a ticket for £10, with under-17 tickets available for £5 and under-10s for just £1 when accompanied by an adult.

Pompey spokesman Colin Farmery said: 'Fans have responded magnificently to our offer and there is a strong chance we could sell out, which is an amazing achievement in League Two.

'As of Friday mid-afternoon, we had already sold more than 16,000 tickets. When you factor in the typical walk up on a matchday and the fact it is going to be a fine day, it means that a capacity crowd is not out of the question.'

Fans are urged to buy their tickets online ahead of the game to beat the queues. Tickets will go on sale from the pods behind the Fratton End from 11am on Saturday, but the best bet is to buy ahead of time online and print out your ticket. It will save fans having to queue twice.
