Striker keeping the Pompey goal faith
Thursday, 13th Mar 2014 21:59 by pompey-fans.com staff

Patrick Agyemang says the goals will come for Pompey if they keep on shutting out the opposition at the other end.

The Blues take their search for another clean sheet - and a goal of their own - to Fleetwood on Saturday with Agyemang keeping the faith.

The big striker told The News: ‘If we can keep solid, I’m sure we’ll get a goal or two at the other end. I believe we are capable of creating chances for us to take. We have to just keep working hard at it.

‘There needs to be some more creativity in midfield. That will help us to create the chances. The manager is working on that in training. We need to take what we do in training out there on to the pitch more consistently.

‘The manager wants the ball forward and wide. He wants more crosses coming in. He doesn’t feel enough crosses are coming in — with the right quality. We will work at it and, with a bit of luck, I think we will start to turn the corner soon.’

Are you put off watching Pompey by a string of goalless draws? Or is it a means to an end?
