Webster wanted - but what about 'Premier League' pair?
Webster wanted - but what about 'Premier League' pair?

Adam Webster is set to be part of Andy Awford's Pompey plans next season - but it's less clear whether he sees Daniel Alfei and Michael Drennan.

Webster made a big impression when Awford recalled him from his loan spell at Aldershot late in the campaign, and the Pompey boss has indicated we'll see him again soon in a blue shirt.

But although he is expected to want loanees Trevor Carson and Danny Hollands back at Fratton for 2014-15, he was not committal over Swansea defender Alfei and Villa forward Drennan.

Awford, speaking to The News, said of Alfei: ‘He’d had a great year at Aldershot where he played men’s football a lot. He’s one that we think can now come into the squad and play some games next year.’

But on Alfei and Drennan, he said: ‘The other lads have gone back to their parent clubs and we’ll see what happens with those. We’ll see how that all progresses.’
