Wing-back's woe is tempered by a Pompey positive
Wing-back's woe is tempered by a Pompey positive

Josh Passley admitted to mixed feelings after Pompey's stalemate against Oxford.

The wing-back had another decent game in the goalless Fratton affair and frustration at the Blues' failure to win was tempered by their unbeaten run continuing.

The result extended that run - which Andy Awford's men put on the line at Northampton on Tuesday - to seven games.

Passley told the club website: 'It was a frustrating afternoon for us because we had most of the possession, but couldn’t quite break them down. We wanted to come away with all three points and we’re disappointed that we couldn’t.

'You just have to keep probing away and try to switch the play as much as you can. There were a lot of half-chances, but we didn’t have enough clear-cut ones if I’m being honest.

'But I’m pleased that we still haven’t lost since I’ve been here and also picked up four wins along the way. We’ve seen that any team can beat any other in this league, so if we can continue this run then who knows where we’ll end up.'
