Luton boss John Still reckons a trip to Fratton Park can inspire his Hatters to put their poor form behind them.

Still says a big following of more than 2,000 away fans at a famous old ground could be the spur that helps them get back to winning ways.

He told the Luton website: 'The game comes at good time for us if I’m being honest. It’s the right time to play this game. Portsmouth are in good form and we know we need to pick ourselves up to try and keep ourselves in the promotion shake-up.

'It’s a good opportunity because this is a game that people really want to play in.'

'They’ve (Pompey have) picked up — I think it’s a big surprise to everyone that they aren’t doing particularly well, but they have picked up recently.

'It will be a great game and I’m looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to a proper atmosphere against a team who are in form. We’re going to have to be bright, alert and focused to be able to compete.'

In the Pompey campo, Jed Wallace is eyeing up another long unbeaten run like the seven-game one that ended at Northampton nine days ago.

He told The News: 'I live in the city and when things are going well and you win games, everything else seems to take care of itself. When you get on a run you feel unstoppable. We need to get back to that.'
