Cook says Taylor's future will be known quickly

Paul Cook is close to revealing whether Ryan Taylor will still be at Fratton next season.

The striker has met the new manager once and The News report that the pair are due to sit down again on Moday to decide whether the striker's future lies at Fratton or elsewhere.

The fate of all the other players out of contract will also be known very soon. Forward Bradley Tarbuck has already been released.

Cook told The News: ‘I have spoken to Ryan already. We are going to have another chat on Monday at 11am to clarify the situation. By the time I have sat down and spoken to him I will know a lot more.

‘Ryan’s had quite a few injuries and there are things we need to chat about. By the time we speak with him on Monday we will have got a feel for each other to see if it is something we would like to go down or not.

‘I always respect what anyone wants to do. If people want to walk away from us I will shake hands and wish them the best of luck. We will see what happens on that front. The club will make announcements soon on all of those 11 players.’
