He's the Special One for Pompey Sunday, 15th Jan 2017 21:58 by pompey-fans.com staff Kal Naismith described Conor Chaplin as a special talent after the youngster's goals saw off Leyton Orient. Pompey's 2-1 win, which took them within two points of the top three, came courtesy of fine finishes in each half from Chaplin. Speaking to the club website after the game, Naismith said: 'We were the better team and had a lot chances. We could have been three up at half-time and then it would have been a better game for us. But their lad has scored a great goal right in the top corner and there’s not much you can do about that. 'So it was important that we regrouped and were ready to go again in the second half, with another one from Conor getting us the three points. I’m delighted for him because he’s a special talent and you always sense that he’s going to score. 'We just have to be a bit more clinical and I had a few opportunities myself, with some crosses that I perhaps should have got on the end of. I suppose we were a bit unlucky in that aspect, but the important is that we won the game and the lads are all feeling good.' Naismith and Chaplin will both be hopeful of keeping their starting spots for Saturday's visit to Crawley.
