Sorry lads, no replay obviously, so I may have called it wrong.
I thought Dunne got caught, came across the back of him (oo-er!) and if there was no contact fair enough, but I can see how the ref might have thought there was.
Heads gone now. I presume we've gone to three at the back. Need half-time now to get our heads right and get the belief back. |
Like you, just seen it once. Initial reaction was that there was probably contact, but it seemed instigated by the attacker, he seemed to cut across Dunne knowing that he'd run into the back of him.
As for the red, it's ridiculous, but that's a commentary on how stupid the law is, in those circumstances the ref is probably going by the book to send him off if he thinks it is a foul |  | | |

IMO Dunne is a fcking Idiot. He should know if you run across the back of the striker like that your inviting the striker to take a dive, or drag his heels looking for contact. You can't get tight to his back from that position, there is no use in getting on his other side. Get your body between the ball and the goal. Off a dodgy stream, might have had a better view in the ground, but I just think Dunne should know better. Just about survived that, now lets regroup and reorganize. Hope Harry can give Mclaren a call, see if he has any tactics to lend him. |  | | |
