barry bridges was one of my favourite players,as a schoolboy i always played number seven,but although i was creative i just never used to get on the scoresheet
a typical season would be 4 goals which was useless really
so thats why i loved to watch bridges,it was his incredible speed that was so amazing,did anyone remember those barry bridges near post headers,so many times he used to flick that ball into the net from the near test
but looking back at the chelsea i find that chelsea had two high scoring wingers in him and bobby tambling and from 61-to 66
they scored an astonishing 217 goals,imagine if chelsea had kept greaves bridges tambling and osgood,they would have had one superbe side
but there decision to sell bridges and greaves will always be a very wierd one for me i have no idea why they let these players go |  |
