I started work in September 78,and my wages were about £23-£25 a week.The price of a light and bitter in the post office bar in Victoria was 23 1/2p.Lager was 24p.
My season ticket for the previous 2 seasons had been free because I used to sell about £5 in QPR lottery cards.My mum and dad bought them off of me every week and sometimes they won their money back.Happy days. |  | |  |

Happy days, I had two in Ellerslie @ £31.50. My mate couldn't guarantee going every game so paid me by the game, if he couldn't make my dad came and didn't pay me!
Changed my job that season to shift work including weekends.

Prices had doubled in those four years, & all for a failed relegation campaign as well!
The last game of that season remains one of my worst moments of watching Rangers!
Travelled from Ipswich with a group of their supporters (including my wife) & stood with them in the school end. Being thrashed was bad enough, but the pity they showed to me when it was announced that we had re-appointed that **** as a manager was beyond my endurance!
It was even worse just over twelve months later when he sold Paul Goddard. Am I bitter about him? No, because that would imply that the grounds for hating him whern't justified!

I think that was the first season after the Ellerslie was built . I got my first season ticket .I took great pride in the fact that I was the only person to have sat in it ...R Block ..great views of Stan cutting in on his left foot ...jumpers for goalposts etc
