Actually, don't know much about him, I'm just so happy about Ste Caulker.

As long as we don't play him on the wing............4 goals in approx 90 games as a winger.....88 in approx 206 as a striker. Played first couple of seasons on the wing for Walsall and first season at Watford.

Austin and Deeney up front. Yes please

Seems too high but a decent forward.

Never knowingly right.

It is a lot, but compared to McCormack it is a bargain!

Personally, I liked the look of Demba Ba for 4.7...

very good signing if it comes off (and that's coming from an out-and-out pessimist)

If we could not keep Remy, I thought Deeney was quite similar in style and potential to fill that role having a power shot with accuracy and pace.
Interesting that with Deeney, 3 Londoners signed by QPR. Also it is hard to criticised these 3 players as pieces to our team.

PS: if there is a link could someone post it.

Deeneys from Birmingham, but he has just turned 26 will always score goals and is the pacy striker required to compliment Austin.
Definitely better than Mcormack and streets ahead of Ulloa so i think he'd be a superb addition even at 8 million.

GET IN!!

This man is a monster. He'll do it in the Prem. Been calling it for ages.

£8m is a hell of a lot and more than I thought we'd have to pay, but I don't think he'll be a failure.

The bloke is an animal. Very strong, good in the aid, enough pace. He'll cause a lot of problems.

Deeney and Austin, 3 at the back...sounds like we're setting up like Watford did 2 seasons ago under Zola.

Right age, but anything above 5-6 mill is too much. Just because Ulloa and McCormack have gone for ridiculous fees, does not justify spending that much for a championship player.

alternatives could be.
Stevie May: 2-3mill
Sigthorson- 5mill
Ibarbo- 7mill

Poll: Who will the other play off

Stephie May would need to step up massively to become a decent Championship player.
Sigthorson looks decent on Youtube but is an unknown quantity and may take time to settle.
Ibarbo is a winger not a striker.
Deeney is a better option than them all.
He has the pace we're looking for, will have some sell on value having just turned 26,Lives locally so will settle quickly and will have no problem with the physical stresses of this league plus its a step up rather than down.
He will score goals in the Premier League.
