would be like having one of those comedy giants from its a knock out lumbering around in midfield fouling everyone ( as he did towards the end of the season in the championship)as he cant near the ball anymore, with opposition fans laughing hysterically rather than stuart hall
smacks of us being knocked back for priority targets and going back to what we had , which was barely good enough to get us out of an ordinary championship.

I will never understand how it is that a professional footballer only just turning 30, under contract, with months and months of daily coaching and the latest sports science available cannot be made to keep his fcking weight in check. Kiev is perfectly peaceful & safe at the moment, but obviously, that could change, if things get nasty.
The Ukrainian season is already two games old, but their Premier league has been decimated. There's only 14 teams contesting it and four of them have been forced to play their home fixtures in other cities.

I believe he had a serious back injury last season which prevented him training properly and getting fully fit. He was seeing a specialist in Germany about it. If that has been sorted so he can now get himself properly fit then he would be a good signing on the appropriate wages etc. IMHO. He is clearly a class player that was lacking in fitness levels last season and if he can get properly fit he is easily good enough for us in the PL.
But it does depend on whether he is now injury free and you would hope if there was any question mark over that then we wouldnot sign him. |  | | |
