I didn't realise how many bands had played at the Olympic Studios in Barnes. Just been to cinema (brill but dear, but no wenkers playing on mobiles and shouting at each other during the movie) and before each show they play a clip of the Stones recording Symphony for the Devil n '68 before boasting "Abbey Road had the Beatles...we had the rest".
Grab a film you want to see anyway and pop down just for the clip. Apparently Hendrix and Bowie recorded there.

My wife's always there. Great place to watch a film. They don't book films for the whole week, so it's worth checking what's on.
I think Island Records had it as their house studio, so Bob Marley and U2 would have recorded there too. |  | | |
