One centre forward and a fit Faurlin short of being absolutely 100% delighted with that. No idea what Vargas is like so hopefully he can fill in up front as well.
I reckon we might see Ehmer before the next window, there's some old fellas at centre back and no back up at right back, but whatever. Left back's an issue as well, either the old man, the untried Korean or the winger Traore.
Still, time for 'Arry and co to manage this lot into a team.

Further evidence of how odd was the Danny Simpson sell.
In the end, we were hurt by Remy's late move to the dark side as we were unable to replace him with a top signing, but I'm glad we didn't put a mortgage on our house to bring 90k-a-week Borini!
Defoe would have been a great addition (at the right fee). We were left without a lot of depth up front.
Also, not a lot of adequate cover for Rio-Caulker.
SWP is impossible to get rid off.
We've got plenty of options in midfield to play 4-4-2; 4-3-3; 4-5-1; 4-2-3-1; 4-3-2-1, etc.
But to me, the best "signing" has got to be Adel staying and Tony saying what he said about him ("We've kept Adel and he'll surprise a lot of people").
I'm confident if Harry manages to keep him happy and motivated, we'll be OK and he'll win us a few matches.

It's not a bad squad. Maybe a bit short in places and ideally I would like more cover but we do have flexibility. We may look a bit short for fullbacks but we have a number of versatile players that can play there if needed. Onuoha and Henry can both cover at RB if needed at a stretch maybe Phillips too. We have Yun, Traore and Hill for LB. Up front we may only have 3 recognised strikers but again we have players that can play in that area. Phillips/Hoilett. Kranjcar can play as a 'false 9' if we get in serious trouble.
Not ideal in some situations but when you look at some of the names we have got some good young players with potential. Look at who we have and what we paid compared to some and we have done alright. | | | |

We've got 3 strikers with Austin, Zamora and Vargas. Even Adel as false 9 in a pinch. That's manageable until Jan with no cup games and only playing one up front. It also means we can put any of Fer, Mutch, Adel, Phillips or Hoilett, Kranjcar off the striker so we have plenty of options and support. The hardest bit will be getting all the midfielders in as we have a lot now and most of them prefer being central and in advanced areas |  |

its the best squad imho, that i can remember since around 82/83.
still cant understand letting simpson go.
still at a loss to understand the greyfriars bobby love in this season. to have him as one of our main strikers in the prem 2014 is a bit its a knockout embarrasing.
if he gets more than 4 goals this season,i'll move to rotherham and vote labour.
adel is not a striker .im putting my faith in uncle blob re vargas and hoping he can get a few.... we need at least 20/25 combined from him , charlie, phillips and hoilett .
hopefully mutch can grab half a dozen this season on his own.

Dont forget that of the OP's youth group, I think Frankie Sutherland is the only one who is of the right age and can play without being a member of the 25.
