Who did we get rid of? 09:14 - Sep 2 with 3389 viewskysersosaqpr

Got all the players that we've signed up over the summer. H keeps saying we were down to 13 seniors - anyone care to list all the loanees that returned plus players we sold/released. It seems like a real clear out of Hughes's brigade. Right or wrong?

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Bleedin hell! Didn't realise he'd done such a thorough job. Actually, when you look at what's been brought in, a really good window. We're turning into a lean mean fighting machine. Well done H.

That's not including some of the loans

I think we have a net spend of around 16 million which is excellent a very good window for us

Can't blame Harry, but its a sad indictment of what went before when we got practically nothing for this lot except Remy and I imagine we had to pay more than we got for Danny to get Cesar to FO.

yeah, well done H for letting players whose contracts have run out leave the club.

Bare bones.

He brought in 5 off of that list, two of which sold for decent money.

Despite putting him in the scout shop window and playing him at right wing-back in just about every pre-season match the little fella's still here.

Why is he not in Turkey or Thailand? As Anton Ferdinand or Richard Langley had the guts and motivation to do as their careers winded down, presumably because they like..you know, strange as it may seem PFA..actually liked playing football for their money.
BTW anyone see Jason Roberts impassioned defence of Tom Cleverley on the BBC 301 set top red button? - he said football is a job just like any other,TC should just sit tight and count the shekels. Sky Andrews,Willie Mckay or Kia Joorabchian couldn't have put the argument better.

SWP remains our very own Winston Bogarde - he shall not be moved.

Can only imagine what Shot Knee's blood pressure is like..

Sky Sports 9th January 2014:

Queens Park Rangers are struggling to move Shaun Wright-Phillips off their books as few clubs outside of the top flight can afford him.

The experienced winger was among those drafted in to Loftus Road as an apparent statement of intent as they looked to preserve their Premier League status.

He was, however, to become one of a number of high-profile performers to flop badly as the capital outfit tumbled into the second tier.

Wright-Phillips remains part of the set-up at QPR following relegation, but the 32-year-old has been restricted to just 11 outings this season.

Harry Redknapp would prefer to move the England international out if at all possible, as he remains one of the club's high earners, but the QPR boss concedes that he may find it difficult to find a club willing to finance a deal.

He said in the Fulham Chronicle: "It's difficult. It's only Premier League clubs who could afford to take him on his wages.

"Other clubs aren't going to put up that type of money. There isn't big money in this league wages-wise.
If any of them want to take a thousand-per-cent drop in wages or something, they can, but you don't see too many doing that."

.. so HOW COME HE FOO KING WELL HASN'T BEEN RELEASED ?!!

Wiki:
On 31 August 2011, the final day of the transfer window, Wright-Phillips signed for Queens Park Rangers on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.[19] He made his full debut for QPR against Newcastle United on 12 September 2011, making the starting line-up and winning Man of the Match by supporters.[20] He failed to score a goal for almost a year before scoring his first the following season for QPR against Walsall in the League Cup on 28 August 2012.[21] His only goal for QPR in the Premier League during the derby against former club Chelsea on 2 January 2013, which ended 1—0.

3 years,63 appearances,1 goal which he didn't celebrate.. time to fu ckoff.

clive's report of the time:

http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/13879/shaun-the-wri

relevant paragraph:

''Bolton had appeared to be the front runners for his signature this summer but Owen Coyle said consistently that the club could not afford the player’s wage demands which makes you wonder what on earth he’s earning at QPR. He has signed a three year deal in W12 after the clubs agreed an undisclosed fee''

so now i'm confused, too...why is he still here?

quotes a F O U R year contract (4 years ffs)
earning around £65k a week plus image rights, playing fees, bonus & horizontally challenged benefits.
given that his next move can only bring him closer towards retirement, would you give up on
£3+ million? no, didn't think so.
best bet to keep on training, keep a low profile and sit back smelling all those twenty pound notes.

13 of those 16 left because their contracts expired. We didn't get a penny for any of them.

Thanks for attempting to definitively clear that up,Exiled.

You cite SKY for 4 year contract,Wiki cites BBC for 3 years - take your pick.

However if you are correct it begs the question why did HR bother playing him in the pre-season friendlies? Why test the 3-5-2 system with a player who had zero chance of playing or even being in the squad?
This might be a reason - rather like the picking of 2 keepers for the bench that time - why as Clive has said before Redknapp makes it very difficult to like him sometimes.

I'd make life as embarrassing as possible for SWP, I'd use Sky News to publish that Acton Rovers, North Pole United and Northolt Ladies have refused to take him on loan, not because of high wages, but because he's crap.

Make him a toilet brush, or a haemorrhoid expert, or Tony Blair's speech writer, or a juggler in BIlly Smarts.

Amazingly enough I can't get that worked up about him, as I can't see him being more than a splinter collector this year. At least there's only another 8 months of dross left.

let's face it, 114 kg of hoops, it has to be four years or we wouldn't be having this conversation.

as to why he got game-time, same reason warnock played dave agyemang the first two games in 11-12; hoping he'd fluke something good and some sucker would come after him.
