Interesting comment from HR this morning that they dropped the 3-5-2 as some influential senior players (no names named but judging from public comments Hill and probably Barton) were not happy with it and he did not want the formation to become the excuse. Went on to say made no difference as we got stuffed at Man Utd with a similar performance to spurs but different formation

Talksport interview, it kinda slipped out Brian Moore asked why he dumped it HR as usual probably let on more than he meant to, Hill and JB then made comments straight after the sunderland game about returning to the flat back 4

This is precisely why Harry was never selected by the British Secret Service.

The recruitment process flagged-up issues with Redknapp’s inability to read, count or use a phone.
There were also concerns that the FSB station in Sandbanks would attempt to establish contact with his accountant, Rosie, during her daily walks, ingratiating themselves with the use of compliments, stroking and “doggy treats”; potentially exposing Redknapp to the threat of financial blackmail.

Unconfirmed reports of Magath being rejected by looking 'so much like an *actual* mole it would be obvious he was trying to be a mole', remain unsubstantiated but definitely true. Perhaps.

I have it on good authority that Redknapp is a KGB agent, operating in this country and 'hiding in plain sight' for many years as a football manager. Admittedly his 'cheeky cockney wide-boy' cover is a bit over-the-top, but he's been getting away with it for years, very nearly infiltrating the very top of the English football pyramid before the FA got wind of it. Rather than face the embarrassment of admitting that they'd been duped for so many years, both parties agreed that rather than be locked up in the Tower of London Redknapp would instead be sentenced to five years at QPR.

Magath has got “Rogue agent” written all over him. Other than the complete and utter devastation of Fulham FC and the ruination of my Saturdays, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been working on some heinous plot to overthrow something or other, whilst he’s been in London. There are probably people who can remember when he was a brilliant agent — before a highly classified incident took place. Was he abandoned behind enemy lines? Did his own people try and have him silenced?

FWIW - it was reported in an online website a few weeks ago after the Spuds game that it was the players who demanded the change because they could see it just wasn't working.
Let's face it how many games of a 38 game season can you spend practicing a new system before it becomes a total disaster.

Of course it isn't going to work after a couple of games. It's up to the management to realise that before the season's started, be prepared for it, and to stick with it anyway. Particularly when your recruitment policy has been based on it. I find it utterly ridiculous and more evidence of classic QPR shenanigans.
Well if it wasn't for Clint's 'interference', Hoilett would have been taken off at Wembley and we'd more than likely be looking forward to Rotherham away this Saturday.

Very good, Brian!

"Harry, as you know we've become increasingly concerned about Putin's continuing meddling in the affairs of the former Soviet states. The PM wants some boots on the ground, so we're sending you out to Kiev - Sandra and Rosie will remain at Sandbanks. Ostensibly you'll be there to coach the national football team, but we'd like you to use your influence to foment opposition to Yanukovych's presidency, clearing the way for the rapid accession to Nato and the EU. Do you have any questions?"
"Yeah, is this going through the books or cash in hand?"

Not sure why Hill would have complained as e didn't play in either game. I would have thought Dunne was the one complaining.
Sadly another example of British players completely unable to adapt to anything new
Well, if Dunne was the one complaining (and that's speculation) then you can't blame the British players, Dave!
Besides which, we have a mixture of British and non-British players, as have Wigan and Hull, who have been coached into adopting the system successfully.
