Ferdinand's comments on Man City crowd 12:09 - Oct 1 with 3457 viewsKonk

Another former United player, Rio Ferdinand, has questioned why this work is necessary in light of the latest crowd figure.
Ferdinand wrote on Twitter: “How many empty seats are there at the city vs Roma game by the way....big CL game & fans would rather Ramsays Kitchen or something at home.
“Expanding the stadium for what though?? For who though???”

Er, they’re probably watching City on the telly, you dopey twa t. Maybe ordinary people can’t afford to keep shelling out a mint to watch their teams? And City are probably expanding the stadium because they more or less sell it out every week.

I thought he was meant to be the brains of the family?

Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts

Why is he commenting on other teams?

We all realise he's played for bigger/better teams (allegedly), but why comment on other teams when his wages are being paid by Rangers? Could it be a slight lack of respect for his current employers?

Not like Joey then...

I always look forward to what Joey Barton and Rio Ferdinand have to say about the other teams in the Premier League - all but two of which are better than us at the moment - after we've been turned over.

The views of someone who has never been a paying customer at a football match. Just like Alan Green - "Why does everyone not get back in their seats in time for the start of the second half?"

Must say getting very bored of what some players have to say about a variety of subjects & other teams or players these days, particularly when they aren't performing on the pitch themselves. Rio #5 has a book etc to promote & seems everwhere in the media at the moment.

I haven't taken any notice of the narcissistic ramblings of Joey Barton (or whoever writes them for him?) for years..

Dear Rio

Lay off the twitter, media, toss book, and do your talking on the football pitch.

He'd definitely be talking Sh!t if that was the case !

bound to be empty seats for what has already been said is an over bloated cash cow for the richer clubs and UEFA cronies. The first group stage is only there to allow UEFA to claim it is a European wide competition - no hopers like Maribor, Bate etc would ever make the real thing which would be dominated by Spain, Germany, France, England, Netherlands & Italy. The early games of course also satisfy the Serbian and Russian crowds who can then monkey chant to a whole new group of players.

TV money is now what it is all about - City's stadium is 47K capacity at say £50 a ticket with 20 home games = £50 million or so. Last season all clubs got £55 million from the TV kitty- City got a further £19 million from 'live' games. Sky has long been killing the game by inflating prices.

and as for the City fans also remember when they go away from home every game is a Category A top dollar pocket hitter.

and finally Esther, on Rio I cannot agree more than the sort out your own game - lets face it a number of the goals we have conceded have directly been down to him.

Poll: Remy - can he play in the playoffs - who's opening post is the best?
