FFS, this isn't sky sports news. Football is NOT about new signings and transfer deals. You know, it's about what happens on the pitch. We played yesterday. Spectacularly missing the point, we've stumbled upon a pattern of play that relies on a target man. We have one person capable of playing that role who can only play 65 minutes, can't sit down at half time and has a hip made of chalk. If he gets injured or is out then the gameplay employed so successfully in the last two games cannot be deployed and we are back to square one. The transfer window is less than 10 weeks away and therefore it is surely prudent to line up another player of this type that can do the same job. The point of the thread was not to make stupid suggestions or go on another buying spree but realistic target man ones. Chris Wood may well be a good shout are there others in the lower leagues or Jockland or abroad that might be realistic. Who did we sign this summer or chase? Several players ( note media and HR) that we we reconnected to from last year.did not get Diame . HR was trying to get Caulker on loan 2 years ago.
