So who do we buy to do the Zamora role 14:11 - Oct 28 with 5535 viewsbaz_qpr

Clearly Zamora is going to struggle to maintain this so we will need what we have needed to buy for the last 2 years a big strong number 9 to be the foil to Austin and Vargas

Assuming Stoke are not going to allow Crouch to go who should it be?

If we can't find a homegrown lad - try a Colombian!

Think that Duvan Zapata lad would've done a grand job if he'd have got a work permit. Done well when played at Napoli. Jhon Córdoba (just gone to Granada) looks decent prospect to me as well.

They could spend their time down that all-in-one Colombian restaurant in the Bush.

Do we have no tall strong bick sh*thouses coming through the youth system?

When's Michael Mahoney-Johnson going to get a game, eh?

Shame on everyone taking part in this thread!

FFS, this isn't sky sports news. Football is NOT about new signings and transfer deals. You know, it's about what happens on the pitch. We played yesterday. This obsession with who we sign is unhealthy. How we can criticise the club when fans act like 12 olds on Champ Manager. Benteke?? Do me a favour! Think we might struggle to get him to sign no matter how much cash we flash! But whilst your at it. That fella at PSG is tidy.

Honestly.

Let's wait until late Dec to raise the spectre of more signings. And then, If we must, let's focus our attention on signings good young players not getting a chance at big clubs, or more preferably, look at the best of the best in the lower league, and do what QPR historically did: sign tough diamonds and sell on at a profit. Let's get back to being the plucky underdog not some tw*t flashing his dad's cash at the nearest bird with a pulse.

Spectacularly missing the point, we've stumbled upon a pattern of play that relies on a target man. We have one person capable of playing that role who can only play 65 minutes, can't sit down at half time and has a hip made of chalk. If he gets injured or is out then the gameplay employed so successfully in the last two games cannot be deployed and we are back to square one. The transfer window is less than 10 weeks away and therefore it is surely prudent to line up another player of this type that can do the same job. The point of the thread was not to make stupid suggestions or go on another buying spree but realistic target man ones. Chris Wood may well be a good shout are there others in the lower leagues or Jockland or abroad that might be realistic. It would be utterly pointless trying to sign Defoe when we have Austin and Vargas,

Most interesting thread all day.
Who did we sign this summer or chase? Several players ( note media and HR) that we we reconnected to from last year.did not get Diame . HR was trying to get Caulker on loan 2 years ago.
- who to target? I think those talks are started.
- as for the subject Baz, Kolbein ....was not he a burly lad? Evidence we are looking in that direction. Believe Rhodes was also on that list.
