Sandro Injury 18:36 - Nov 22 with 3860 views | bosh67 | Hearing from a few people that it's worse than it looked. Same knee as he's always had problems with. My cousin was there and spoke to a few of the back room staff and a few of the medical guys hope he hasn't wrecked it. Hopefully a scan will show it's not too bad. The lad is only 25.

Sandro Injury on 18:39 - Nov 22 with 2963 views | yankranger | It bent at a weird angle on the reply and did look bad. I thought it he was done given it was his bad knee but he came back on. I don't think if you've done your ACL again that you can play on. Let's hope not at least.
Sandro Injury on 19:43 - Nov 22 with 2750 views | Lblock | Perfick 'scuse innit 'Arry? Well y'know, it's vewy ard. Couldn't get em fit till November an then we go an lose Sandra who would've kept us up fer sure. Tewwibble shame fer the lad but if he'd had two knees he'd of cost us 20 mill so mustnt grumble wheely Let's ignore the fact the Bungle Brothers waved another load of folding your way but come on old son, just WTF did you expect? Was it the closeness to your wife's name that gave you the bone for this signing? As an underscore I will say I really hope the news is far better than feared there's no doubting he's a good player but he makes Mathew Rose look like Clubber Lane and Iron Man. Just so typical QPR

No, that was the Fulham game, both Langley and Carlisle were stretchered off within 15 minutes of each other in the first half. I was there when it happened, but it was a long time ago, so maybe Old Timers disease kicks in. I also remember Jimmy Dugdale. We signed him from Sheffield Wednesday for a lot circa 1965. We coughed up £20,000 - plus two packets of Planters peanuts, a waltz with Daphne Biggs, two pints of Starbright and a selection of Mrs Mills records from WG Stores in Shepherd's Bush Market. Dudgdale lasted less than one half, hobbling off with cruciates done again, waving goodbye to the crowd as he went off to queue for the bus to Hammersmith Hospital. You don't run cruciates off. Ask Faulin. [Post edited 22 Nov 2014 20:09]

At least Langers and maybe Carlisle did indeed try to run off their ACLs during that Fulham game. Was stretchered off but came back on for around 30 seconds. I was in block EL and he came back onto the pitch directly in front. Remember being shocked after being told how serious it was for this very reason...

Sandro Injury on 21:39 - Nov 22 with 2308 views | Dunstable_hoop | He looked to be holding the side of the knee which suggests a medial ligament injury. He wouldn't have been able to play on with a tear so if it's a strain he's probably looking at 8-10 weeks. It's the cruciates, which crisscross inside the knee joint, which are so delicate and difficult to repair. They did the 'seat test' on pitch which suggests he hasn't done that as he played on for a bit.

Interesting and you sound knowledgeable That would seem to be good news then? However the fact remains that Sandro is a modern day Matty Rose and, much like Remy leaving, cannot be a surprise to anyone who is in possession of a full set of their marbles Saggy doesn't agree with the DoF position, I tend to agree, but we need SOMEONE to do some diligence on our transfers!!!!

Sandro Injury on 08:09 - Nov 23 with 1838 views | Toast_R | Carlisle completely wrecked his whole leg in his accident. Ruptured ACL, Tore the thigh muscle from the bone and a whole heap of other misdemeanour. There was no way he was carrying on. Being able to walk unaided again was 50/50 at that point which is why he turned to drink. Langers was down and the physio tried to get him back on after some manipulation work on the knee but as he tried to run back on the pitch his knee went and he signalled right away that he was f*cked. Big Danny completed a game having suffered an ACL during it.... Funnily enough when Gazza did his in that 91 cup final, he was up walking again and after Pearce scored the resulting free kick his knee went as he turned on it to get ready for the restart. Cut and paste off Wikipedia on buying crocks in hoops. Dugdale moved to Queens Park Rangers in October 1962, before retiring from the game due to injury in May 1963. Dugdale had a leg amputated in 1993. Mobley was forced to retire at the young age of 28 through injury. Mobley’s time with Q.P.R. was injury plagued, he played only 25 games in two years before giving up the game on medical advice. Q.P.R. maintained that Mobley had been injured before they signed him and they took Sheffield Wednesday to court in February 1973 to claim compensation. Looks like we specialise in buying crocks.
