Has it finally been put to bed that Neil Warnock is a capable manager in the top flight? I don't think many people think much of Alan Pardew but he has sorted Palace out when it looked like they may have been going down under Warnock.
On a separate note, Pulis has sorted West Brom out very quickly as well. Highlights how utterly incompetent HR was. The myth (in the press) that HR is a capable manager in the top flight should also really be put to bed now.

You're putting a lot of things to bed here, was NW ever considered a capable manger in the top flight? I thought it was more the opposite. Good manager in championship but didn't really have the nous in the top flight: QPR, Sheff U, Palace haven't exactly been covered in glory. [Post edited 28 Feb 2015 14:28]

my guess is they guessed there was no one else good enough available to take over long term
so a short time fix of Warnock might have worked and maybe even got the best out of the terrorat |  |

Jeez, I thought (and still do) that NW had to go when he did.
The team weren't performing and it didn't look likely to change.
But the bullsh*t funding policies of T&C meant that Colin was forced into difficult late choices on ridiculous contracts.
With early, reasonable selections, we could have had a half-decent team.

Quite clearly Colin is a specialist Championship and lesser League Manager....in our Promotion Warnock pulled off a right stroke.......
Harry Redknapp is recognised by Fans to be what he is.....only the media, due to a lack of forensic football intelligence lap up Redknapps public relations Golf Club Bar insider profile....the man is a fraud.....A great career awaits HR as an after dinner speaker....unless some Mug takes him on board.
Its been a painful experience but it might be a lesson well worth learning, given that TF can learn and Sir Les can hold the Chairman back. | | | |
