You are in for a culinary treat if you head for this place.

It is for me the best football pub in the UK. Serves local ale and in the back has a large indoor tandoori grill where you will get the best chicken tikka, naan and salad for a fiver. Plenty of big screens for the lunchtime football and about a 15 minute walk to the ground along the local tramway. It really cannot be beaten. And the getaway afterwards is pretty swift. It will be the highlight of the day.

A good away trip from Oxfordshire, exit the m5 at the junction to the stadium, on the exit roundabout turn left and then a right into a housing estate, plenty of parking and a 10 min walk

Trust me there is no other tip to consider. Check out the thread on the dot.org. And this from the football ground guide

Thanks for the links DW. Unfortunately, I am not into Indian Food. More of a good quality all day breakfast, mixed grill, fish and chips and decent coffee sort of thing would suit me.

The Vine is a quality tip

Decent amount of street parking and private paid car parks,

Shame you're driving as Brum has some great real ale pubs.

As for food there is a really good selection at the ground including (what my mate reckons) the best pork roll place just before you go in.

I don't like Indian food that much so tend to drink in Brum and then catch the tram to the Hawthorns.
