Sorry but I actually think (assuming he's not a one season wonder) Charlie is far better than either Newcastle or Villa.

£15mill and a sell on clause talks though and if he wants to go then see ya Charles and wish you all the best, thanks for the memories.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Plenty of maybes at the moment......

The BBC are reporting that Liverpool are prepared to pay Villa £32.5 million for Benteke, if that happens then Timmy boy will need a good centre forward and presumably will be given some of that money to spend on a replacement.

Ps....it appears the most that can have happened at the moment is that Newcastle have finally put a bid on the table, maybe for the full asking price, that doesn't stop Timmy boy gazumping them with a £16 million offer, go on Tim you know you want to.......

32.5m for Benteke. yeah he's good but that is an insane amount. Rather have Charlie than Benteke in my starting 11.

Poll: Kitchen threads or polls?

"The size of the bets also imply that they came from sources that know something that we don’t, forcing us to cut the odds significantly and eventually pull the market"

Says it all. The main reason is that enough money has been staked that the bookies have reduced the odds/suspended betting. Doesn't mean it is definitely happening. Could be true, could be rubbish. If I (or me and a few friends) stake £5000 pounds tomorrow on Charlie Austin going to Palace, the bookie it is placed with will massively reduce their odds on that market, assuming that the placer of the bets knows something in order to stake that amount and they reduce their odds to mitigate the risk of paying out.

Point is - it's not a reflection of the truth, just a reflection of bets placed. Always remember, bookies aren't gamblers...

Dave Mc is usually bang on and has reported no approach from newcastle and the club considering offering Austin a new deal

Birmingham Mail reporting that Sherwood is not interested in Austin, wonder if he will change his mind when he's got £32.5 million in his pocket.

Apparently he's more interested in Adebayor but wages may be a stumbling block, bloody hell if he wants a centre forward then our Charlie is perfect, he desperately needs a 20 goal man to keep them out the relegation zone.

His loss our gain only we know that Charlie's going to the Premiership so the sooner he goes the quicker we can rebuild etc
