I don't think either of those defeats were shocks to be honest, not to seasoned watchers of Cork GAA. We got done by the referee and by naivety in both Kerry games and then didn't have the experience to recover in time for the Kildare game. The hurlers are inconsistent - some great talent but inconsistent. The simple truth is that we're not in the top four in either code at the moment.
