I remember heading up to Brum with a mate, as a pimply 14 year old. There was a sweepstake on the coach for first scorer. After 15 minutes we were 3-0 down, which was how it ended. The only saving grace was that my mate pulled the first scorer - Barry Bridges.

Its a good awayday Brum, cheap tickets, friendly locals, good pies.
Things have changed a lot since 1986 then, thank goodness. The humungous renovation of New Street station which used to be a dismal place made for hooligan battles is a great thing. #ThingsAreGettingBetterBrummies

Did your mate get Barry back to his place for a nightcap and a phuck?
