Bit unnecessary....
I wasn't that sold either, thought he'd struggle to replicate last season as he's no longer a surprise to teams/defences and there's the added weight of expectation. Up until recently that seemed to be a possibility, but he's in great form at the moment. He's still got things to add to his game - he needs to pick his head up more and he's a bit ponderous/clumsy in possession at times, especially outside the box - that said his finishing and ability to nearly always hit the target is unnerving and if he can stay fit and strong he should get plenty of service from that Spurs midfield. He's an out and out finisher and it's refreshing to see.
I hope he smashes it this year and really announces himself in France. | |
