another loss
just that bit closer to the exit door
however .....

woodja have him back in the hot seat here?
would he want to come back here?
would he be allowed to mould a team in his vision?
and with the upcoming january sale, would he be given money and the opportunity of making squad changes?
would he speak english without a dutch accent?
or are we still moist over nige?

Problem is that he is a fantastic number 2. Not a number 1. We just made that mistake.

Never knowingly right.

he was never our number 1, served under 'arry if my memory serves me right.
so who would you have as the number 1?

Pep Guardiola!

I would have gone for Brian McDermott but he's not even in the reckoning.

Kenny Jackett would be very popular here. He knows the club. I don't think he will leave Wolves.

Roberto Di Matteo would be fantastic here. Don't really care about the Chelsea links. Great man manager and available.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - not sure. They lost today but his team plays nice football. Not experienced enough for me though. Don't really care about the Chelsea links.

If Garry Monk loses his job I would carry him here. But unlikely to happen.

So, my solution is perhaps an odd one. I would keep Warnock as boss for the rest of the season. I would have Clint Hill as his 2nd in command until the end of the season. Then in the 2016-17 season I would reverse the roles. I would make Hill manager and have Warnock as his number 2. Another rookie. A risk but I think Hill has the metal to be a long term manager here. He loves the club, he knows the players, he is a leader. I actually think he is our Garry Monk.

The solution is perhaps right under our noses.

However, I think it will be Nigel Pearson.

Evidently a man who much prefers to fail as a manager than to succeed as a coach.

So he fails at Derby and then fails at Newcastle and you're asking me if I want him in the hot seat here? Gee, let me think about this for a second.

QPR's recruitment policy of the last 4 years!

Les: I think Ramsey will be a terrific head coach.
Tony: Based on what? He was awful as caretaker.
Les: Call it a hunch.
Tony: That'll do me. Give the man a 3 year contract.

All I ask is QPR for once run a proper interview process that considers applications from several individuals with a decent track record as a manager, not a decent track record as an assistant manager.

I disagree that Schteeve failed at Derby.

However, I was one who thought that McLaren would end up doing a good job at Newcastle. But after the weekend whipping I'm starting to think I had that well wrong.

though clearly not as wrong as shteeeeeeeeeve himself.
not only do i think that the newcastle job is a poison chalice with one hand tied behind your back and fat mike sitting on your face farting, but that the newcastle job is a job too far for shteeeeeeeeeve.
he needs a club with less ambition, less support and less money to throw around, where expectations are at a different level. not necessarily qpr, but definitely not newcastle.

Is there several applicants? I'm not sure we're in a position to pick and choose.

We;ll choose the wrong'un. On Tf's watch it's what we do.

Not right to say McClaren failed at Derby, young squad a more experienced squad would have buried 10 men with a 93rd min killer. We're still conceding 93rd min killers/

Great coach, motivator etc solid number 2. DiMateo for me, with Schteeeeve.

If it's Hasselblank last one out turn the lights off perlease.

Steve inherited a decent squad nurtured by Nigel Clough and enjoyed one of the bigger budgets in the division. He failed to beat 10 men in the play off final then failed to make the play offs altogether after an almighty end of season collapse.

He failed at Derby. Period.

and according to les, we are actually interviewing potential candidates
my only problem is what type of questions will they ask, what criteria makes a candidate better than another candidate for this job, when is the appointment likely to be made, and please get it right this time.
